New Drivers

Lessons: Lessons are usually of 2 hours duration, giving time to assimilate and fully develop new skills so they are consolidated before finishing the session. This also allows the opportunity to explore a wide area to find the most suitable roads to practise the skills needing development.  Equally using a wider area gives a greater variety of road conditions and layouts, vital in developing confidence to drive in less familiar areas post test.

Lesson recap: At the end of each session, a few minutes is spent discussing the progress made within the session and mutually agreeing the way forward for the next lesson, this is recorded electronically and a copy will be emailed to the client later the same day.

In car training: Your instructor will also use an iPad within lessons, this can be used in a variety of ways, to show how various controls work, to see how to deal with various different road layouts or perhaps to view a particular junction or roundabout via a satellite or streetview image prior to driving through it yourself. This is often helpful to gain experience of what to expect prior to actually having to deal with it on the move for the first time.

Pick up: Pick ups can be arranged from school, work or home providing the location is within our teaching area. Please note it may be necessary to park a short distance away from a particular address if parking is limited, restricted/prohibited.

Manual or Automatic?: Lessons can be taken in either a manual or automatic car providing a variety of training options.

Driving Lesson Packages: Most clients choose to take a lesson each week, however packages are available to take up to 10 sessions in one week, subject to availability. So for those clients who find it difficult to make a regular weekly commitment, taking a week’s annual leave to focus on driving  may find this option more suited to their needs.

Lesson times: Lessons are available between 8am-6pm most weekdays.
